Synopsis:
Jess Mackey is living a meticulously fabricated lie of necessity. She's left the secret tragedy of her past behind along with who she was and is forging ahead with a clean slate. Jess soon discovers that passion can't be left behind; her own and that of the one man that sees who she really is. Whose presence caresses her soul in a way that may breach the peaceful life Jess has made for herself.
Devin Castile sees a young woman that is the missing puzzle piece to his existence and who is also the victim to a heinous crime. Devin convinces himself that he can remain emotionally distant even while indulging his physical desire for her. When the lies that Jess has made crumble before their attraction and the truth is revealed, one of them might pay with their life... or their very being.

Facts about A Terrible Love Part I
By Marata Eros
1.
I
studied the art of ballet from age five to fourteen. Though I was nowhere near
my fictional character, Jewell MacLeod, in expertise, I knew just enough to
lend authenticity to the ballet scenes and references.
2.
Having
grown up in the Pacific Northwest in a suburb of Seattle, I love to base my
stories in and around the city that I lived so close to as a child. The scenes
of imagery, especially the damp weather, are very much a part of the fabric of
my memories of that area.
3.
I
had a 1974 LT-1 Camaro as my first car and used it as Mitch's vehicle in ATL.
4.
I
have not seen the film, Black Swan, but found the trailer to have the dark
“feel” I was going for with ATL. For some reason, those scenes from that short
trailer captured the “vibe” of ATL very well and influenced the almost eerie
atmosphere of her dancing scenes.
Because
of my history of old house restoration I use old structures as backdrop every
chance I can. You'll note in all my novels, I never use modern homes.
