I
was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Life,
Love, & Lemons was a very sweet story in which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was
a great break from the intense reads I’ve encountered lately. It was a great
breath of fresh air.
When
Bentley’s dad loses his job, her life changes. In every single way possible. Her
rich life is taken away from her and is forced to move to a smaller apartment
in a neighborhood much different from the one she comes from. She makes the
best of what life hands her, and gets a job.
Kai
is not your typical boy that we read in these books. He is this witty punk-rock
guy that was absolutely wonderful. His character was a major contribution to
this story. The relationship between Kai and Bentley was adorable. I found that
their story flowed really well. These characters were in no way perfect, but
were relatable. Although, YA I felt that was a different read, in that it
explored different topics. I enjoyed this aspect of the story.
This
lighthearted read was well written. I think her writing style reflects her
humor well. The depth of her characters demonstrates that she truly wants
readers to connect with her story. I recommend this story to anyone looking for
a great YA read.
