“If you’re broken, I’ll fix you…

I’m only twenty-one and already damaged goods. A slut. A failure. A disappointment to my picture-perfect family as long as I can remember. I called off my wedding to William Bailey, the only man who thought I was worth fixing. A year later and he’s marrying my sister. Unless I ask him not to…

“If you shatter, I’ll find you…”

But now there’s Asher Logan, a broken man who sees the fractures in my façade and doesn’t want to fix me at all. Asher wants me to stop hiding, to stop pretending. Asher wants to break down my walls. But that means letting him see my ugly secrets and forgiving him for his.

With my past weighing down on me, do I want the man who holds me together or the man who gives me permission to break?
Review

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story took me on a whirlwind. Will OR Asher. I had a hard time deciding which one I loved more.  This story is not your typical new adult romance novel. There’s more secrets in this story than I thought was possible. Everytime I thought all the secrets were out, I would scream “what the heck?!” to my iPad., because a secret I didn’t see coming was revealed.

The story is about twenty one year old Maggie. She left the love of her life, Will Bailey and a year later he’s getting married. To her sister. Yes, you read that correctly. If you think this is the drama of the story, you’re mistaken. You’re in for a whole lot more! Maggie meets mysterious Asher Logan while the wedding reception is going on. Little does she know that them meeting was fate and her life was about to change.

I know. We have read so many books about “broken” girls. But, this is SO different. Maggie has been broken in ways unimaginable. She truly does not love herself or sees herself as worthy of love. She does not recognize love even as it stares her in the face. And it did. Several times.
This book questioned love. Is love enough? Maggie has two guys at her feet, but which does she choose? Will or Asher? I don’t want to give it away, but I was happy with her choice. She chose the one who loved her regardless of being broken.

“Don’t be afraid to break, Maggie.  Stop holding onto the ugliness just to stay whole.”
Maggie was tired of being fixed.

“If you shatter, I’ll find you”

“I’m not trying to change you Maggie, I’m trying to love you”

“I don’t think you ever believed you were worthy of that kind of love”

Sigh. Those quotes are from the men in this story. Holy hell. They were both swoon worthy. The author definitely knows how to write about her men! Although they were different, I fell for Will and Asher. Both had this unconditional love for Maggie. You felt it with each line they spoke. That is what makes a great love story.

Overall, I would recommend this  story to someone who is looking for a story that makes you question love and life. When is love enough? Perhaps when you learn to love yourself.
