Hudson
Alexander Pierce. Holy crap. He is the best kept secret alpha billionaire. OMG.
I have read tons of billionaire stories, but not many live up to this one. Why did I take so long to find him?
The
first book (Fixed On You), blew me away. However this one, we get even deeper
into the life of Hudson Pierce. We
learn his secrets. And they are dark! Not really what you are expecting.
In
this book, Hudson and Alayna learn that love is easy, trust is hard. Because of the unconventional way they
fell for each other, Alayna was very insecure regarding the realness of their
relationship. She questioned everything Hudson did. But with Alayna’s past this
is expected. I loved the way Hudson dealt with it all. It allowed both him and
Alayna to grow as individuals.
Similar
to book one, this book is steamy. You will have to fan yourself. Many times. I read this book
in a day. I held on to every word as it was an important contribution to this
story. I could not put it down.
The story is well-written and flows nicely. There is never a boring moment. It
picks up right where book one, left off. There is angst, drama, romance, and
humor. The story captures you until the very end.
“I know
it’s scary and our situation hasn’t been ideal, but you are everything good for
me. Nothing in this world is important to me beyond you. I can be the same for
you I know it. And I’m so grateful you’ve given me the chance to prove it.”
Hudson
shows a different side in this book. He is sweet and romantic, although he
seems to think differently. Dreamy
sigh. What I love about Hudson is that he strongly desires Alayna in body and
mind. He loves how intelligent and how business savvy she is. Besides being freaking hot, he is dominating,
powerful, and completely swoon worthy. Hudson and Alayna have a strong sexual
connection, but their attraction goes much deeper than that.
There
is no life-changing cliffhanger at the end, however it can be easily seen that
their story is far from over. While progress was made, they both have so much
growth to accomplish as human beings and as a couple. I look forward to more of their story.
This is not your typical alpha billionaire story. This IS better! Every fan of
this genre should make this their must read.
