This was an amazing debut! I love
second chance romance stories and this author most certainly wrote a great one! Liv and Danny
were very close growing up.
Eventually that blossomed into love. Due to certain
circumstances, Danny had to leave England, with his family and move back to the
U.S. Both are left heartbroken,
but neither have the confidence to fight for love. Fast forward 12 years later,
Danny and Liv are back in each other’s life again. Love is hard. Second chance
love is harder. Danny and Liv learn this the hard way and must overcome
obstacles in their relationship.
Danny. Oh Danny. Watch out top 5
book boyfriends, he is in a close running! I absolutely adored his character.
Sweet. Charming. Everything. I swooned at his every word. He gave me
goosebumps. Sounds cheesy, but I am being honest! I had a lot of “feels” for
this book. Love truly knows no boundaries. Liv is a beautiful and independent
woman. Her spunk is what every female character needs. However, her choice at
the end made me sad. Ugh. Want to know what she did? READ! The author did a
great job at creating these characters. I loved every one of them.
Just Human. What a perfect title
for this book. Too many times I have read books where authors make up these
characters that are almost too perfect. Or in some cases too flawed. This story
is so REAL. I enjoyed every minute of it. I loved that we are given so many
details. It allowed me to connect to the story on a different level. The story
illustrates the ups and downs of a second chance romance. We experience the
good and bad about falling in love again.
Yes, there is a bit of a
cliffhanger, BUT do not let that deter you. It is one you can kind of live
with. Ok, honestly I am itching for book 2. I already told Kerry (the author)
via twitter that I need book 2 in my life like tonight. However, their love
story is beautiful and everyone should read it. I love that it doesn’t follow
the typical NA story line. The characters are different and Danny and Liv will
stay with me for awhile. Stop reading this. Go buy and read Just Human!
